Mary reported, 'My little bird died.' I asked for a picture... I'd used a daub of medium on the eye for effect. I had hung the work in progress on the wall and when I showed it to Mary she exclaimed, 'but he's crying!' Goodness, the medium had dripped. We lauged about Our Lady of Akita. The little bird lived for 25 years.
